Extreme Heat Causes AC Leak In San Tan Valley Home

During our summers here in Arizona we can see extreme heat temperatures.  During times of high heat you can often see an increase in water leaks due to air conditioner malfunctions.  AC's are often working overtime and cannot keep up with the constant use. 

For example, this San Tan Valley homeowner had an air conditioner leak during one of our record breaking 115 degree days.  She came home from work to find a huge mess in her living room.  This AC leak caused the water to pool in the living room ceiling, which eventually, due to too much weight and the disintegration of her drywall, came down along with the water soaked insulation.  

Our SERVPRO of Gilbert crews were not only able to efficiently clean up the mess but also effectively dry all the affected area.  Due to limited space in the attic, our crew created a duct using high a grade plastic.  This duct was secured to the ceiling and directed the air from our air mover located on the ground, into the large damaged cavity space.  With this technique we were able to get this San Tan Valley's completely dry.
